Anna’s first book - Relief, a collection of short stories – won Best First Book of Fiction at the 2010 NZ Post Book Awards. In 2012 she takes up residence as one of two Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellows, giving her time to work on her second book, a collection of three linked novellas. In 2009 Anna was the recipient of the Todd Writer’s Bursary and in 2006 she graduated with an MA in Creative Writing from Victoria University where she won the Adam Prize in Creative Writing. Her stories have been published in Sport, Turbine, and The Penguin Book of Contemporary New Zealand Short Stories, as well as in American school journals.
