ICT Network Engineer

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the purpose of this role is to help manage the development and operation of the Information and Communications network infrastructure at Whitireia.

Your duties will include management and support of the network infrastructure, including wireless and Karen connectivity across all campus sites; network appliance and device deployment and support across all campus sites; network operational performance management, and capacity planning.

To secure this fantastic opportunity you will need extensive experience working in a networked environment with relevant industry certifications, experience in supporting users in a Microsoft Server environment and with a variety of business and applied applications.

This role is based in Porirua and requires great customer service skills, a can-do attitude, good written and verbal communication skills and a responsible, mature and motivated approach to your work.

ICT Senior Microsoft Engineer

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the purpose of this role is to help manage the development and operation of the Information and Communications server and application infrastructure at Whitireia.

Your duties will include management, support and deployment of the Microsoft Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V virtual server and application infrastructure; management support and deployment of the Microsoft Systems Centre Management suite, Powershell scripting experience.

To secure this fantastic opportunity you will need extensive experience working in a networked environment with relevant Microsoft certifications; experience in a Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V, the Microsoft hypervisor-based server virtualisation technology, some SQL Server database administration experience would be desirable.

This role is based in Porirua and requires great customer service skills, a can-do attitude, good written and verbal communication skills and a responsible, mature and motivated approach to your work.
