Whitireia New Zealand have been delivering work-ready Office Administration and Computing graduates for over 20 years.  We have built up a strong team of industry experienced tutors who each offer different areas of expertise.   Our tutors lead, motivate and inspire students to ensure their success.

On the Office Administration and Computing (Introductory) programme, you will gain computing and office/reception skills, learn how to use the Microsoft Office suite efficiently, including word, excel, and email.  Learn a range of communication  and administration skills and gain practical office administration skills in an actual office environment.

On successful completion gain the:

  • Whitireia Certificate in Office Administration and Computing (Introductory)

As well as delivering quality in-class courses using the latest technology and training facilities, you can now choose to learn by distance, enabling you to study while working.  This flexible option allows you to study part-time and complete short courses or one-year courses.

Alternatively, we can also customise or provide in-house courses to suit your business requirements.

To study by distance, students must have access to a computer with Microsoft suite installed and access to the internet, employed in an office job and live in the Wellington region (Wellington - Levin).

Entry Requirements

Domestic students

Open Entry

-To students living within the Wellington Region (Wellington - Levin)
-To study by distance, students must be employeed in an administration role and have access to a computer with Microsoft Office 2007 suite and access to the internet.

International students

IELTS 5.5 or equivalent

Further Study

Continue your study in Office Administration and Computing by staircasing onto our (Intermediate) Level 3 or (Advanced) Level 4 programmes. 

Alternatively, you will have the confidence to study other business and computing programmes offered at Whitireia.
