Certificate in Work Skills (Office Skills/Computing)

Youth who wish to start their tertiary training, and need basic computing, English, literacy/numeracy and entry business skills - look no further.  This course includes recreation, career planning and general life skills.  LEVEL 2

Programme Overview

The programme provides students with general skills and knowledge to move on to work or further training in the business administration area. Students learn positive work attitudes and are prepared for further vocational training and will work towards a national qualification at level 2. Students must be prepared to commit themselves to study outside the class hours.

There are four terms with study breaks in April, July and September/October.

Students will undertake two one-week work experience placements during the programme.

Students will complete NZQA units.

Evidence of skills based on an interview. Applicants are required to meet Youth Guarantee criteria.

International students

Not applicable

Career Opportunities:

Graduates will have the knowledge and skills for employment in an office in a junior position such as office assistant, assistant receptionist or office junior, or for further vocational training.
