Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Level 7)

Specialise in programming, networks, phone systems, mobile applications, databases, servers and websites. Formalise recognition of your specialist information and communication technology ability and skills.

Programme Overview

This programme is run in conjunction with the Bachelor of Information Technology programme.  It is practical, focused and designed to deliver to graduates that are work ready through hands on learning in IT. Research from employers consistently identified the most important workplace skills as those of communication, business knowledge and the ability to anticipate change.

The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology is a one year programme for those who have already studied at a degree level.  See the entry requirement below.

Entry Requirements

Domestic Students:      
Completion of a degree from related disciplines or equivalent Industry experience.
Students must be able to meet the pre-requisite associated with each paper. 
This can be done with a student either completing the necessary papers or provide evidence that they understand and are proficient in the subject area.

International Students:  Meet requirements as stated above PLUS a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent 

Career Opportunities

Bachelor of Information Technology graduates will have acquired detailed knowledge and skills in selected areas of ICT and become ICT professionals.  Graduate opportunities include Programmer, Team Leader, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, Web Developer, Website Administrator, Helpdesk Supervisor, Computer Trainer, Networks, Database or Systems Administrator.

Domestic students

Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent study or work experience

International students

Proven equivalence to domestic entry requirements and IELTS 6.0 (with no band lower than 5.5)
