What can we offer you?
Books
We can lend you books from our collection for a period of three weeks. Books not required by another borrower may be renewed. Material is sent by standard post to students living outside Wellington region. Freepost return is available.
Photocopying
We can photocopy journal articles and chapters from books that are not available for loan. We comply with NZ Copyright Law.
Interloans
If we don't hold the item that you want, we may be able to get it from another library. Up to ten items a year can be interloaned free of charge.
Online Library
From our website you can search our library catalogue, check your borrower record and reserve a book, if it is out. You can also access our electronic resources. Browse our Subject Guides and A-Z Library Databases and eJournals.
To access our international research databases, you will need to self-register. For more details link to this information page. Reading and printing articles from these databases may require Adobe Reader.

How can I make a request?
You may fill out and submit the Library distance request form or, you can make a request by email, phone, fax or mail.
With each request please include: your name, address, phone number, student ID (if you know it) and that you are a distance student.
When requesting a book or journal article please give as much information as possible:
- For a book: Author, Title, Publication date if known
- For a journal article: Author, Title of the article, Title of the journal (in full please), Volume and issue number e.g. 4 (3), Date of the journal e.g. March 2000, Page number of the article e.g. pp 6 - 12.
