Programme Overview

New Zealand Certificate in Baking (Level 3) provides students with the knowledge and skills of an entry level bakery worker. Gain skills to prepare, cook and present a range of basic products such as biscuits, cakes, pastry products and breads. 

Learn food safety practices, communication skills, standard operating procedures in a commercial kitchen, problem-solving, literacy and numeracy skills. 

Graduates may enter the workforce as bakers, craft bakers, or bakers in a commercial environment in entry level positions producing basic bakery products in a commercial environment.


Entry Requirements

10 credits NCEA Level 1 Literacy and 10 credits NCEA Level 1 numeracy or evidence of equivalent study/work experience

International students

IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0), or equivalent
