Aim

  • To introduce students to the fundamental concepts and principles of computer networking systems administration.
  • To provide an understanding of networking and data communications principles, and enable students to experience installation and troubleshooting of networks.

Introduction to data networks, Identify networking types, benefits, and design goals, supporting network users, Identify networking components, Overview of dataflow through the networking components, Introduction to packet tracer, Data encapsulation , Networking protocols and addresses, Data communication methods, Physical layer protocols, Network access layer protocols, Network topologies, Ethernet network protocols , Network IP addressing and subnets, Transport layer protocols, Common network server protocols
