To enable students to evaluate appropriate project management methodology and to develop an appropriate project management process for complex IT projects

Course content

  • Traditional and current project management philosophy, research and practice. Current guidelines of the PMBoK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
  • Project management techniques, which may include critical path analysis, Gantt chart, PERT, critical chain, feasibility analysis.
  • Project management tools

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Research and evaluate current trends in IT project management methodologies and understand their implications for practice.
  • Create a project management plan for an IT project.
